CML History
CML was the brainchild of Brent Ingram with the thought of recreating baseball's past in Mogul using actual player stats. In Brent's own words: "In the earlier versions of Baseball Mogul, the players were fictitious. Initial files could be fixed so that the original file was "real" players. I never liked playing with fictitious players and wanted to create a league that had known players from the start, with additional known players added each year from a draft." CML game play began on July 24, 2000, with the 1955 season. Mogul 2000 was used. Among the initial slate of CML owners were Mogul stalwarts Ricci Stevens, Ric Money, Rick Ryan, Tom O'Neill, EJ Brophy and EJ Jr. In the 1965 season, the league switched to Mogul 2003. Brent remained CML Commissioner from 1955-1970 seasons, when time constraints forced him to quit, becoming an owner only. CML languished briefly under a substitute commish. Finally, Steve Sparks took over as Commissioner, and has held the reigns from 1972 to the current. In the 1977 season, the league switched to Mogul 2005.
