1922 World Champions

Manager: Tom Chase
1922 brought us more of the same as the Chase owned Washington
Senators took their third championship in a row. The Senators continued their
domination all year long and we can only wonder when someone will be able to
take them down. Joe Wood of the these same Senators took the trifecta in taking
tops in ERA, wins and strikeouts. Walter "The Big Train" Johnson surpassed 3,000
strikeouts and looks to add to his total going into his 17th season plus he has
over 350 wins. The AL East battled it out as first and last were separated by a
mere five games with no team at .500 or above.
Meanwhile, in the playoffs Washington's Tris Speaker took MVP honors hitting a
whopping .786!
