1923 World Champions

Manager: Tom Chase
Well, what do you know!?! The Washington Senators took their fourth straight championship in a row and Tom Chase is looking to be one heck of a Hall of Fame owner. The Detroit Tigers however gave them all they could handle as they finished just two games out. On a personal level Cubs outfielder Babe Ruth won the NL MVP award for the fourth straight year as well. Although his home run count was down compared to previous years he was still outstanding. The NL in general saw some tight races until the end when the eventual leaders took it for good. The Pirates gave chase before a major collapse as they finished the year on a 13-game losing streak. This after owner Ken Kean announced they would take the division after signing 2B Frankie Frisch.
