1924 World Champions

Manager: Magga Saraivah
1924 brought a new face to the World Champions wall as the Detroit Tigers defeated the New York Giants in six games. Each of these teams were the best in their leagues. This brought a new NL MVP as well as Babe Ruth's streak ended. There was a surprise team in the playoffs in the National League and an American League pitcher crested the 300 win plateau. In the NL, the Braves' Joe Sewell broke the record for most hits in a season; the Pirates' Herschel Bennett set a hitting streak record; the Giants set a record for team E.R.A.; and the Pirates set a record for percentage of games saved. In the AL, the Red Sox's George Sisler broke the record hits while the Tigers' Goose Goslin broke the record for runs scored.
